Cairo. Luxor. Aswan. Abu Simbel. Alexandria
From the timeless pyramids to the glittering Mediterranean — discover Egypt’s most prized wonders in pure JE Escapes style: privately guided, luxuriously hosted, and seamlessly arranged.
Your JE Escapes journey begins as you land at Cairo International Airport, where you’ll be greeted by our VIP representative who will assist with immigration, luggage, and customs formalities. A private luxury vehicle will transfer you to your 5★ hotel.
Spend the evening relaxing, perhaps with a cocktail overlooking the Nile River or exploring Cairo’s vibrant streets at your leisure.
After breakfast, meet your private Egyptologist guide and begin your exploration of Egypt’s most iconic treasure — the Great Pyramids of Giza. Stand before the colossal structures built over 4,500 years ago, gaze at the enigmatic Sphinx, and explore the Valley Temple.
In the afternoon, step into the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to a vast collection of ancient artifacts, including the golden treasures from Tutankhamun’s tomb.
Optional: Enjoy a gourmet lunch with panoramic views of the pyramids.
After breakfast, you’ll transfer from your hotel to Cairo International Airport for your morning flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be met by your Egyptologist guide and escorted to your luxury Nile cruise ship. Enjoy lunch on board before beginning your exploration of the East Bank, visiting the magnificent Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. The Temple of Karnak, one of Egypt’s greatest architectural achievements, was built by several Pharaohs, including Ramses II, Thutmose III, and Queen Hatshepsut, and dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun Ra, Mut, and Khonsu. Luxor Temple, devoted to the god Amun, reflects structures from many periods, with origins tracing back to the 12th Dynasty. Return to your cruise for afternoon tea and dinner as you settle into the tranquil rhythm of the Nile.
Rise and shine with breakfast on board, followed by a visit to the West Bank necropolis, including the Valley of the Kings & Queens, where magnificent tombs were carved into the desert rocks, decorated richly, and filled with treasures for the afterlife by generations of Pharaohs. Then visit the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, who ruled Egypt for almost 20 years. She chose a very well-protected location, as it is surrounded by mountains. Enjoy lunch on board, sailing to Esna, and afternoon tea before the Captain’s welcome cocktail party, followed by dinner on board.
Sail north to Kom Ombo and visit the rare twin temple, dedicated to Sobek (the crocodile god) and Horus (the falcon god). Continue sailing to Edfu and step into one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples — the Temple of Horus, known for its towering pylons and intricate hieroglyphs.
Return to the cruise for dinner and an evening of onboard entertainment.
Optional: Galabeya party (traditional Egyptian dress night).
Sail to Aswan and enjoy breakfast on board, followed by a visit to the High Dam, a modern engineering marvel, the Unfinished Obelisk — offering insight into ancient stone-carving techniques — and the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis and beautifully relocated to Agilkia Island.
Board your luxury 5★ Nile Cruise in time for lunch, then enjoy an afternoon at leisure on the sundeck as you watch the Nile scenery drift by.
On your final day, transfer early in the morning to Aswan Airport for your flight to Abu Simbel. Discover the awe-inspiring Great Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Queen Nefertari, both relocated in a remarkable UNESCO-led project to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. After your visit, fly back to Cairo via Aswan, where you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax or explore the city at your leisure.
Enjoy the day at leisure for shopping or optional touring.
Optional: Old Cairo (Coptic & Islamic), Khan El-Khalili bazaar, National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (Royal Mummies Hall), or an evening Nile dinner cruise.
This morning you will travel by private vehicle to Alexandria. Visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, and the seaside Qaitbay Citadel. Return to Cairo in the evening.
Optional: Fresh seafood lunch along the Corniche.
After breakfast, your driver will transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your JE Escapes Crown Jewels of Egypt journey.
